The Quarter art walk...WTF?

So who knew? The arts "Quarter" art walk seemed to have attracted a fine bunch -- mainly just me a 5 other people total. Seriously, what happened people? It was a beautiful day out and there was no one, I mean no one besides the gallery owners themselves, and my posse. Maybe one or two other couples and a boy in skinny black jeans, but they were hard to spot.

Though the number one complaint from the galleries and the artists (besides the typos on the event listings and such) was that they didn't even know there was an art walk until the day before. Thanks to phone calls of people asking their extended hours of course. "Art walk? Huh? What?" was the overall reaction it seems. Communication problems involving the arts, non-profits, and Cleveland? No! say it ain't so!

Anyways, I'm not sure what happened, maybe people were confused about the Friday happenings on top of the Saturday and Sunday ones. In any case, I was appalled by something else, something at Front Room Gallery...

How it is this show has not sold out!? Because at these prices, I'm heading back to buy myself a little something-something. Do yourself a favor and check out both the Hilary White show at Front Room and the Steve Ehret show at Artchitecture. Or just head over Crocker Park or Legacy Village and get some Wyland and Thomas Kinkade prints for your bathroom, see if I give a crap.
