I love these new pint glasses from Derek Hess. Especially the teddy bear one. Oh, and the book will be out July 4th -- how fitting -- so head over to www.derekhess.com for info on that.
Speaking of fun, funky, and functional wares: this year during Ingenuity Festival there is a Summer edition of Bazaar Bizarre that will be taking place outdoors. Sign-up over at their website if you are interested in becoming a vendor. Unlike most craft fairs, this won't have scary, disturbing, or overall items of bad taste -- unless they are completely on purpose. So sorry folks, if you do watercolors of Cleveland Browns players; potted planters that look like severed children; yard gnomes; glass unicorns; or art in the vein of Thomas Kinkade or Wyland...this isn't for you. If you do glass unicorns that puke rainbows however, that might be kinda cool.

glasses with designs on them. I didn't even think of that. I thought about coffee mugs and plates and bowls and mousepads and t-shirts...you know because there are all of those websites out there that offer such printing, but I did not think of glasses. I used to loooove drinking out of glasses with designs on them when I was a kid. Smurfs, Garfield, etc.
I wish they made smurf pint glasses.
Drinky Smurf?
