Friday, October 3rd: "Approachable Darkness" by Matthew Ryan Sharp
3 October - 14 November @ Artchitecture Gallery. Opening reception 7-10 pm Friday the 3rd. Matthew Ryan Sharp emerges will showing his latest body of work from the past year, with a focus on "grim portraits of our current state; generations chained to workstations, lazily dreaming of more money, more power, and more say, but too demotivated to take action." Esh, sounds like the poor bastards I used to work with downtown.
Friday October 3rd: “Crying Polyester Peckers” @ The B-Side Lounge (under the Grog Shop) Photography by Hannah Verbeuren, multimedia illustration by Kerry Lange and paintings by Jim Lang. Each artist will portray their own interpretation of John Waters’ films and atmosphere as the subject. Reception 8pm-12am.
You may remember the building complex (former home of 1300 Gallery) from the first Cleveland BazBiz shows, but the entrance is in a different location this year: 78th Street Studios: 1300 W. 78th St to 1305 W. 80th St., North parking lot, North entrance -- accessible from W. 78th OR W 80th St. Vendors have until October 20th to apply.
