Pen Pals and Skateboards

Illustrator Ana Bagayan passed along some info about a high school artist pen pal project. It is for two high schools in Richmond, Virgnia and they're looking for more artists to participate. You will correspond with one student once a month throughout the school year by sending one piece of art (drawing, painting, collage, anything!) and in return you will get one piece of artwork a month from the student. You can choose to write feedback to the student or remain anonymous.
If anyone is interested please email Ellen at penpalprojectrichmond@gmail.com

Artchitecture Gallery & Public Square Group are proud to present:
A one-night only event to benefit Slavic Village Skateboarding, Windows & Doorways A Video Premiere & Art Gallery. Reception on Friday, 15 August from 8:30 - 11:30 p.m
@ 5704 Broadway Ave. Cleveland, OH 44127

For this event an abandoned storefront will be converted into a theater and gallery, featuring an evening of film and artwork. Highlighted by the film "Windows & Doorways", this full color stereo sound skateboarding spectacular will showcase Cleveland's public spaces by way of wood and wheels. Paintings by Cody Goebl, Bob Peck, Ryan Jaenke and other area artists who have been shown at Artchitecture in the past, are also featured to support the construction of the city's first sustainable skatepark.
